Panellists will speak briefly on the scale of the challenge and the scope of the opportunity before the session is widened into a moderated discussion that will be driven by members of the audience.

Cate Lamb, Global Director, Water Security, CDP

Cate Lamb has almost 20 years of experience in all aspects of sustainable development, corporate engagement, and team leadership. As Global Director of CDP’s Water Security Initiative, she is responsible for ensuring that the program remains the gold standard for disclosure of corporate and city water-related information globally and moves rapidly to deliver significant changes in corporate and city behaviour towards water. Cate leads a talented team to ensure that the economy values water so that all important economic actors take meaningful action to conserve this precious resource.As the Water Security thought leader for the organisation, Cate is responsible for producing research aimed at senior decision makers within both the public and private sector. She is a regular public speaker and has represented CDP on both national and international stages. In addition, she is the UNFCCC High Level Climate Champion Lead for Water, Co-Chair of the Science-Based Targets Network, a member of the Advisory Committee to Stockholm World Water Week, and an advisor to UNGC’s SDG Leadership network.

Stuart Orr, Freshwater Manager, WWF

Stuart Orr has been with WWF since 2006 and works with the private sector on a range of water related activities, from water footprint to public policy engagement. Stuart has published numerous papers on water measurement, agricultural policy and water-related risk, and is currently co-drafting policy guidelines for the private sector as part of the UN CEO Water Mandate. Stuart has also recently joined the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council for water.Previous to life with WWF, he researched agricultural rice systems in West Africa and worked for many years in the private sector in Asia and the US. Stuart holds an MSc in Environment and Development from the School of International Development at the University of East Anglia and is currently based in Switzerland where he works at WWF-International as a Manager in the Freshwater Team.

Kahleen Dominique, Programme Lead Financing Water, OECD

Kathleen Dominique leads OECD's work on financing water-related investment, including the Roundtable on Financing Water - a global public-private platform to scale up action and financing for investments that contribute to water security and sustainable growth. She is the author and frequent speaker on a wide range of topics related to water economics, finance and policy, and is a faculty member of the Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences Po teaching a course on water finance and investment.

Will Sarni, Founder and CEO, Water Foundry

Will Sarni is an internationally recognized thought leader on water strategy and innovation. He was ranked as; A Key Player Pressuring Businesses to Care About Water and one of the Top 15 Interviews In Smart Water Magazine 2019. He has been a sustainability and water strategy advisor to multinationals, water technology companies, investors, and non-governmental organizations for his entire career. Will works with multinationals on corporate water strategies, water technology innovation, and water market entry strategies. His work with water technology companies is as a strategy advisor and investor. Will is also the founder and CEO of water strategy consultancy, Water Foundry. He is also the CEO of the Colorado River Basin Fund, the first placed-based water-focused investment fund in the United States. Prior to Water Foundry Will was a Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting and founded and led the water strategy practice. He was the founder and CEO of DOMANI, a sustainability strategy firm, prior to Deloitte.

Dr Alex Money

Dr Alex Money directs the Innovative Infrastructure Investment (in3) programme at the University of Oxford's Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. A former fund manager, he has over 20 years of practitioner experience in investment and industry. Alex's research interests include water, energy, infrastructure, investment, and development. He focuses on the opportunities for empirical research to bridge knowledge gaps between academia and industry. Alex also teaches on Oxford's undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA programmes, and is the director of two early-stage technology companies. He holds a master's degree with distinction in water science, policy and management, and a doctorate in economic geography; both from the University of Oxford.
