Monday, February 17, 2014 from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM (GMT)
London, United Kingdom
The goal of this meeting is to bring together UCL and Crick Institute research groups active in Computational Biology research. Following the successful first meeting, which took place 8 Nov 2013 at CRUK/LRI (Lincoln's Inn Fields), the 2nd event will take place at UCL on 17 Feb 2014.

1.30-1.45: Opening remarks
1.45-2.05: Prof. Judith Mank, Expression change in a single gene, Angiopoeitin-1, underlies change in relative brain size and cognitive ability in fish
2.05-2.25: Dr. Florent Lassalle (Balloux lab), Reconstructing histories of genes in genomes to reveal ecological adaptations along bacterial cladogenesis.
2.45-3.10: Christopher Monit (Goldstein lab), What makes HIV a Human Immunodeficiency Virus? Using phylogenetic mutation-selection models to characterise human-specific adaptation of HIV
3.10-3.30: Dr. Javier Herrero, Ancestry of single base pair variants in the human genome.
3.30-3.50: Dr. Domenico Cozzetto (Jones Lab), Precise disordered region predictions with annotated protein binding sites
