From 19–22 September 2016, NPL will host the 6th Decay Data Evaluation Project (DDEP) workshop and three ICRM Working Group meetings.
On Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 September, the DDEP workshop will be held, which is aimed at training new and existing evaluators in the methodology used within the framework of the DDEP, an international collaboration for the evaluation and dissemination of radioactive decay data. The workshop will include lectures and practical sessions covering the following topics: evaluation procedures, uncertainty estimation, data processing, use of specific software (SAISINUC, BrIcc, etc.), data reporting formats and measurements of nuclear decay data.
On Wednesday 21 September, the first meeting of the ICRM working group for Nuclear Decay Data will be held, with a session dedicated to the Beta Spectrometry WG. The aim is to bring together evaluators from the DDEP with experimentalists from NMIs capable of measuring nuclear decay data for an exchange of needs and ideas.
On Thursday 22 September, a meeting of the Radionuclide Measurement Techniques WG will be held. Ideally, interested members from this working group are recommended to also attend the Nuclear Decay Data WG meeting.
