Working with artist Paul Mason this day long workshop will explore the ‘reductive’ process behind some of Hepworth’s most iconic works. The day will start with an exploration of the Barbara Hepworth: Within the Landscape exhibition, before the creative work begins on carving, then siting finished works in the grounds of Abbot Hall.
This is a perfect beginners guide to the carving process, and will be a great way of learning new skills. All materials and tools are provided. Booking essential (18 years+). Lunch is not included.
