Planet Of the Apes


An allegoric tour de force about human attitudes toward other animals,this cult classic follows a space crew who find themselves marooned on a planet where apes rule and humankind is used for sport and experimentation. With seminal performances from Charlton Heston and Roddy McDowall and a now legendary twist ending, join us in the exceptionally apt surroundings of Knowsley Safari Park for one of the greatest sci-fi features of all time.

Tickets for Car
On arrival your pre purchased tickets will be checked by stewards, you will then be directed to where to park your vehicle. Once your car is parked up we ask that you turn your engine off and stay in position until the movie has ended.

How it works
To listen to the movie all you need do is tune your car radio into the on site radio frequency which will be provided to you on arrival. If you prefer to sit outside we have radio headphones available for a small deposit, allowing you to listen to the movie anywhere.

Refreshment and food

Knowsley Safari Park resturant Oasis will be open from 17:30 serving food and refreshments.

Abandon Normal Devices (AND) is a catalyst for new approaches to art-making and digital invention, commissioning ground breaking projects which challenge the definitions of art and moving image.

Inviting artists to hijack the imagination, by developing projects which abandon traditional settings and partnerships. AND brings together an eclectic mix of academics, filmmakers, scientists and anarchists to actively push the boundaries of audience experience and arts production.
