HR Network: Apprenticeship Reforms and the Apprenticeship Levy

Enterprising Barnsley, in partnership with Barnsley College, invites you to join us at this FREE Business Networking Event on Thursday 20th October 2016 at 11:45am - 2.00pm

This session will focus on the changes and marketplace of Apprenticeships in England. Given the national targets for Apprenticeships and an increase desire from employers to use Apprenticeships, this session will benefit all sizes of organisations.

The session will cover:

  • The Apprenticeship Levy due to start April 2017
  • Apprenticeship Reforms including types of Apprenticeships
  • Assessment strategies, price and payment 
  • Models of delivery
  • How employers link and work with providers of further education services.

There will also be the opportunity to meet with a number of apprentice training providers and apprentices in the local area.

Who should attend?

Directors/Managers or Line Managers within businesses who have direct responsibility for recruitment, resource and succession planning, Finance and Learning & Development. This event is free to businesses in Barnsley and limited to 2 places per company. 

Presenters:
We are delighted to welcome: Mark Hayes, Commercial Director at THINK.

Mark is a Skills expert in Further Education & Vocational Skills with considerable experience of FE/HE and Independent Training Provider policy, including Skills Funding Agency and Education Funding Agency operating frameworks.
 
THINK is an education & business support consultancy, assisting organisations to navigate the skills policy environment whilst making commercial and strategic decisions.

Hosted by Judy Sidebottom, HR Business Consultant at Enterprising Barnsley.

Followed by a Buffet Lunch & Networking.

Car parking is available next to the Digital Media Centre on County Way and also on the level below. Car parking charges are £1.60 for up to 2 hours and £2.50 for up to 4 hours.
