Description
Join us for an insight in to the distinctive work and ways of Peter Mitchell as he takes us on a journey through his career in photography.
An early pioneer of colour documentary photography in the 1970s, Peter Mitchell’s name is often omitted in the history of photography in the UK. Our exhibition, Planet Yorkshire, brings together works spanning more than forty years. It is the first survey show by Mitchell and includes images exhibited for the first time and work made specially for the exhibition.
Peter's talk will be followed by a Q&A and drinks reception.
This event is part of our Photobook Fair, come along earlier in the day to browse a huge range of photobooks and zines, and hear other photographers speak about their practice and publications.
