Assertiveness and dealing with conflict Workshop
Monday 15th July 2013
UCL Bloomsbury Campus (venue confirmed on registration)
About the workshop:
Assertiveness is about “getting things done” while respecting the rights of others.
When having to deal with difficult individuals, we need to use assertive behaviour to achieve desired outcomes whilst handling these situations calmly and professionally.
We will examine situations likely to cause conflict. Understanding individual and group conflict and applying models for dealing with conflict effectively. We will uncover the role of the mediator in conflict situations with practical exercises to cement understanding.
