In the last but not least of the five lunchtime talks will be Fabien Riggall, founder of Secret Cinema which pioneers his own unique strand of ‘Live Cinema’, and Sam Bompas one half of brilliant culinary architects Bompas and Parr.
Fabien Riggall will discuss trends in the ever changing landscape of cinema-going, as manifested through his brain child project, Future Cinema; a hugely successful live events company (including Secret Cinema & The Other Cinema) creating immersive cinematic worlds that stretch the imagination and challenge audiences' expectations.
Sam Bompas will present projects and work around food design taking stock of their research, installations and food adventures from 2007 to the present. Bompas & Parr’s practice uses architectural techniques to enchant dishes at the scale of the plate while also designing spectacular food on an architectural scale working with cutting edge technology. Their work focuses on the interrelationship between synesthesia, performance and setting with the aim of creating gestalt experiences. This talk promises to be full of surprises!
