BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT: A FOUR WAY APPROACH

If your pupils or students are giving you a real cause for concern, you need to tackle the behaviours from a number of angles. It's not enough to just read the textbooks on behaviour management, there are some simple strategies you can use in the classroom IMMEDIATELY. Our previous delegates have told us they've had fantastic success when they've tried our approaches.

What you will learn:

  • Assertiveness
  • Acquire terminology to improve own assertive language
  • Making "reasonable adjustment" for BESD
  • Understand the different facets and complexities of learners with BESD
  • Recognise the difference between behaviour you dislike and behaviour which stops learning
  • Engage the disengaged
  • Investigate many calm classroom techniques to manage low level disruptions

It includes pedagogical approaches to planning for disengaged students and an insight into common behaviour disorders. Have a look at the full programme of events here

Who should attend:

This programme is designed for:

  • teaching staff
  • support staff
  • student mentors
  • personal tutors
  • lecturers
  • staff in any learning and skills environment.

Trainer

The trainer for this programme is Hilary Nunns. Hilary works extensively with teaching and support staff in Education, and on NEET prevention programmes in the South East. She is a recognised advanced practitioner and authority on managing behaviour and ADHD in the mainstream classroom.

Bookings can be made directly through Eventbrite or by contacting info@can-do-courses.co.uk. If you're serious about making a difference to the learning environment, attending this training should be a priority.

Fees include all course resources and the opportunity to build a whole new mindset with actions to take back to your school or college. You'll also meet like-minded people and can share ideas and resources with them, too. Not forgetting the luxury of refreshments all day and unch.

We look forward to welcoming you to the programme.
