Description

Have you been on the Learn to Knit and aren't sure what to do next? Do you want to learn some of those fancy stitch things you hear about - ribbing, seed stitch, bobbles or even a bit of lace or cable? Or even just get more confident with your knit and purl? This is the perfect taster workshop for you with Gwen Wagner-Adair, from Petitchoufleur Knits. Each week will focus on knitting four or five squares that will go towards making up your own project choice - either a lovely pillow, a warming scarf, or a funky knitted bag.

Using some of our lovely Dovestone dk, you’ll learn the basics of a specific selection of stitches (as detailed below). Bring along your questions too – we’ll all learn from them!

This workshop is run over the course of two sessions. They can be booked together or one at a time, if that works better for your life. If you wish to attend the full workshop, you'll need to add sessions 1 and 2 to your cart.

The workshops are £35 a session or £70 for the full workshop of two sessions.

Session 1:
This session focuses on knitting three squares which combine knits and purls – explore the world of ribbing and moss/seed stitch. Then, widen the horizons a bit more with some two-colour stitch patterns and some more complex patterns.
Session 2:
This session, we’ll focus on some lace, cables and deeper textures. Then we’ll discuss how to assemble your squares into your chosen project and cover some of the basics of sewing up.
