THEN THE BIG OPPORTUNITY DAY IS THE EVENT FOR YOUR ORGANISATION
WHAT:The Big Opportunity Day is a one day event that brings together young people who have recently completed our programmes with real provider opportunities. You will have the chance to meet with and interview young people who have demonstrated a genuine desire and commitment to taking their next step in their progression.
WHERE: The Prince's Trust Hub, Prince’s Trust House, 9 Eldon Street, London, EC2M 7LS.
WHEN: Wednesday 30th November 2016. Prompt start at 12:30 till 4pm.
WHO: Please confirm how many representatives from your organisation will be attending (max: 2)
WHAT TO BRING: Company pop up banner, a positive attitude and lots of energy ready to meet some amazing young people. Please do not bring your lunch although goodies and giveaways for your tables are a must!
RESOURCES PROVIDED: There will be a full briefing on the day promptly starting at 12.30. The Prince’s Trust staff will provide guidance, interview questions and feedback forms.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO
Take part in the afternoon session of the Big Opportunity day and be supported by a Corporate Volunteer.
Share knowledge and information to young people who have completed a Prince’s Trust programme (two-minute) high energy engaging pitch to include:
èWho you are
èWhat your company does
èWhat role your recruiting for
èWhat you are looking for in a candidate
Conduct a number of 10-15 minute pre-screen interviews with a range of talented young people who have completed a Prince’s Trust programme and are interested in your vacancy
You must currently have opportunities of training, education, short courses or volunteering to be eligible for this event. These should be roles to start straight away.
AFTER THE GET HIRED DAY
èThe Prince’s Trust will send your organisation contact details for the successful short-listed candidates within 48 hours of the event finishing.
èWe would encourage you to host a second more in depth interview with the shortlisted young people at your company within a few days of the initial interviews.
èPlease keep in regular communication with your contact at The Prince’s Trust to help us follow up from the event and provide quality support for young people.
