Bikeminded Film Festival
Thursday, 20 June 2013 from 19:00 to 21:30 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
As you may know, we’re having a screening of the inspirational cycling-around-the-world film ‘Janapar’ on 20 June at the rather lovely Coronet Cinema in Notting Hill. However, while cycling around the borough in the sunshine over the past few days, it suddenly struck us at Bikeminded - Why show only one fantastic film when you can show several?
So, instead of only one inspiring film about cycling, we thought we’d give you a cinematic cycling extravaganza! As a result, in addition to ‘Janapar’, we’re also going to show a selection of highly entertaining short films from Bikeminded’s Cycle Shorts competition. So if you like cycling, films and getting to know likeminded Bikeminded people, then we really do have just the event for you!
The feature film 'Janapar' is about one man's travels around the world on his bike. That's fascinating in itself, but it's also a life-affirming, incredibly moving story of life and love as one man travels across the globe in search of his cycling-focused destiny.
In fact, we liked it so much, we thought we'd host the first ever Bikeminded Film Festival with ‘Janapar’ as the finale!
Here are a few quotes from people who have seen 'Janapar':
"Adventure in the truest sense of the word from an extraordinary ordinary bloke. The big name ‘adventurers’ could learn a lot from this. Whilst I admire their achievements, I found this tale truly humbling."
"A definition of true priorities and a spine-tingling catalyst for what will be hundreds of adventures around the world for unsuspecting viewers. Hugely inspiring, don’t miss it."
Please note that this event is only for people aged 15 and over.
THIS IS A TICKET ONLY EVENT. TICKETS MUST BE BOUGHT BEFORE THE EVENT.
THERE WILL BE NO ADMISSION ON THE NIGHT WITHOUT A TICKET.
