Description

We’re pleased to invite BGCP Pledge members to the Spring Quarterly Partnership Gathering, taking place in At-Bristol on Thursday 21st May 2015.

In addition to news and updates from Bristol Green Capital Partnership CIC and updates from the Bristol 2015 team, we’re working with Bristol Food Network to invite your participation and input into the 2 – 5 year Food Action Plan for Bristol (commissioned by Bristol Food Policy Council).

Speakers will include:

  • Joy Carey – Bristol Food Network
  • Kalpna Woolf – 91 Ways to Build a Global City Project
  • Chris Sunderland – Real Economy
  • Glyn Owen – The Big Picnic, Food for Life Partnership
  • Hattie Parke – FoodCycle

We'll offer the opportunity to look through a food lens at what Bristol is doing as a Green Capital - find out what's happening now, what's in the pipeline, and how the whole city can play it's part in making Bristol a sustainable food city.

Through a series of 'Food & .......' roundtable discussions, we'll be inviting organisations to share their plans and aspirations and help us to:

- Harvest current plans and activities - tell us who, what and where!

- Close the 'Hungry Gap' of food related activity in the city - what and where is missing?

- Cultivate a new landscape for Bristol by asking all sectors and industries - what specific changes do we need to see at the end of 5 years, and how can we measure it?

Hosted tables will include 'Food & ....... Nature / Resources & Waste / Poverty / Energy /Health & Wellbeing / Transport / New Economy / Education & Engagement / Land Use & Place / Resilience / Social Inclusion / Business

This event is not just for those working or volunteering in food - participation and input from as diverse range of organisations as possible can collectively help to shape the very nature of our city. Book your place now to cross-fertilise with other organisations in the Partnership and root your activities in a shared Food Action Plan for the city!

Registration and refreshments will be between 3.45pm and 4pm.
