Join us for this 2nd networking event in Bristol at the prestigious Bristol & Bath Science Park
Numbers are limited to 120 so book early to avoid disappointment (the last RBN Event in the South West at Mercedes-Benz Bristol was a sell-out!)
Watch the video from the most recent event at Cheltenham below to get an idea of the type of event you're signing up for and read some feedback below:
Past attendeee Feedback:
Thank you to Nadine and your good self for organizing such a great event!
Another fantastically organised and enjoyable event. The combination of inspirational speakers, good structure of the evening and excellent chosen location make Rob's events very special and recommendable.
Many thanks to all who organised and presented at the Rugby Business Network event last week. The event was really interesting and I now have a much greater understanding of the work of both the Rugby for Heroes charity and the RBN itself. An excellently run event - thank you! :)
If you haven't attended a Rugby Business Network event elsewhere in the UK (or world for that matter) then here's what you can expect:
- 2 Hours of informal networking with Business Owners and Senior Business People from across the region who share a passion for Rugby and are there to network and have some fun
- Two 10 minute Question & Answer sessions with 2 great keynote speakers
If you have been invited you may pass the invitation onto your own guests, provided they meet the criteria for the RBN, which as you know is "business people with a passion for rugby" (Read more).
More detail on each of our speakers:
Chris Booy OBE - Bristol Rugby Chairman, Chair of the RWC 2015 Legacy Group for the South West
With 18 months until Rugby World Cup 2015, join Chris Booy to hear about some of the plans for the South West region to capitalise on the 3rd biggest sporting event in the world. Chris Booy was Group Chairman of Symonds Group which was sold to Capita in 2004.
He is now non-executive Chairman at Capita Property and Infrastructure Division. Chris’ community and charitable interests include the Bristol Rugby, Clifton Suspension Bridge Trust and the S.S. Great Britain Trust. Chris represents the South West as one of six Chairs of the 2015 Rugby World Cup Regional Legacy Group. Chris is also a member of the Merchant Venturers, Downs Committee and a governor at the University West of England.
Mariano Sambucetti - Bristol Rugby, Argentina
Our other speaker for the evening will be Bristol and Argentinean lock Mariano Sambucetti. Mariano will talk about the links between rugby and business and his take on what the Argentinean team can expect when they visit the West Country for RWC 2015. Mariano Sambucetti signed for Bristol from Brive at the beginning of the 2005/6 season.
A 13 cap Argentinean international, Sambu faced the British Lions in 2005 and represented his country in the Churchill Cup in 2009. One of the longest serving members of the squad, the lock-forward is close to two-hundred appearances for the Club in all competitions.
Hugely popular among players and supporters alike, Sambucetti’s committed displays during the 2012/13 season earned the abrasive forward the Supporters Club Player of the Year award. Apart from his hometown team in Argentina, Bristol is the only club that he has ever played for. Sambu can also be seen imparting his rugby knowledge on Sky Sports as a pundit for the rugby championship alongside Sean Fitzpatrick, Michael Lynagh and Thinas Delport.
The Rugby Business Network is for business people with a passion for rugby and is primarily a networking event where attendees on the night help each other in life and in business. The members have a go-giver approach rather than a go-getter attitude. The RBN has over 17,000 members and has events in 45 cities around the world.
The events are free and the RBN is not for profit and this is purely down to the efforts of our volunteer organising committees and our hosts and of course our sponsors' funding. We are sponsored by HSBC and Marriott who pay for staff to help the organisers around the world.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is plenty of parking on site - what looks like the pedestriansied area is in fact where you can drive over to get to the extensive car park in front of the Atrium.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
If you cannot make it then please either notify us so we can release your ticket to someone on the waiting list (there are only 120 tickets available). Or if you are sending someone in your place, again let us know as we will have pre-printed name badges prepared for the event, to help networking.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes login and update them any time up until 24 hours before the event.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, but if you want to as confirmation please do. We'll have name badges ready for you on the evening.
|The Rugby Business Network is a "not for profit" organisation who's aim is to support the networking of people in business, who also have a passion for rugby and also assist rugby players to meet and network with business people who may be able to support their career beyond their athletic career. * Please note that The Bristol RBN is not connected with Gloucester Rugby in any way.
