Description

The Three University Boat Clubs (CUBC, CUWBC & CULRC) cordially invite you to brunch with Anna Watkins, Boat Race Ambassador & Olympian at the historic Goldie Boathouse on Sunday 28th September between 9.30am and 11.30am.

This is a chance to meet Anna, explore this historic building where the crews do all their land training and find out about the preparations for the landmark Women’s Boat Race on 11th April 2015 on the same course as the men, on the same day for the first time. You will also be able to find out about all the events which will be taking place in the run up this historic race as well as the building of our new Boathouse at Ely.

Doors will open at 9.30am with Anna speaking at 10.15am.

The ticket price includes a mug designed by Anna Railton (Blue 2009,10 & 12) and children under 12 can come for free.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

We have very limited parking here at Goldie and direct vehicular access can be difficult. We strongly encourage walking to the Boathouse which is located between the Fort St George footbridge and the Cutter Ferry Footbridge, opposite Midsummer Common. However, if you do need to bring a car, there is free parking on Defreville Avenue and the adjoining streets. Access to the river is via the adjoining road between Kimberley Road and the river bank or through Beaulands Close which backs on to Goldie with a path between Goldie and Jesus College Boathouse. Please note there is no parking or vehicular access to Beaulands Close.
