Bucks CAS Hub Introduction to Programming at Key Stage 3
Monday, 8 July 2013 from 16:00 to 19:00 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
We successfully delivered a half term course aimed at Year 8 and 9 boys at Royal Grammar School . Boys use the simple drag and drop interface to create a 2D computer game with two playable characters, collision detections, enemy Artificial Intelligence, music, sound effects, a scoring system, extra levels, a title screen, win and lose screens and bonus power ups. Some from this have gone onto design quite sophisiticated gaming products in GameMaker and have started to use the Gamemaker Scripting Language enabling to program more advanced games.
The workshops we are running tonight will provide practical insight into how to use BYOB and GameMaker.
