Buurtzorg - Testing models of neighbourhood care in Scotland
Wednesday, 5 October 2016 from 14:00 to 16:30 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership is exploring opportunities for using Buurtzorg Principles as we consider our options for a locality approach to delivery of service in our integrated partnership.
Buurtzorg is a Dutch model which involves local neighbourhood based, self managing teams, providing clinical and personal care to individuals in their communities. The core ethos of Buurtzorg is a holistic and person centred approach, building trust-based relationships with individuals and their families and neighbours.
We would like to invite colleagues to come and find out more about this approach and consider opportunites for how these principles may be implemented locally in Aberdeen.
3 sessions lasting approx 2.5 hrs have been organised to enable as many colleagues as possible to come along. The sessions are being delivered by a Buurtzorg nurse and Buurtzorg’s UK partner will be at the sessions to explain how the system works from a nurses perspective and answer any questions.
Tea and Coffee will be provided.
