Price: £50.00 (inclusive of VAT and booking fees)
Join Richard Gray and three of the UK's leading iPhone photographers for an introduction to the most exciting new photography genre of recent years. The iPhone camera is your best camera because it's the camera that's always with you. It means you never miss a shot and your inspiration is never left unrealised. But it's also a mini-photoshop in your pocket thanks to a huge range of apps.
So not only can you take the shot, you can be creative with it straight away. And a vibrant online community means you can publish your creation from your mobile and discuss it immediately too. This potent combination of always-on shooting potential, instant editing capability and social interaction has made mobile photography the most vibrant and fast-growing genre of recent years. And its low-cost nature also makes it a democratising force that has allowed raw photographic talent to emerge and flourish.
This masterclass will take you through the key developments and features of the mobile photography world and it will give you an insight into some of the key apps and techniques that make the genre so exciting and accessible.
The guest speakers are leading proponents in specialist areas of iphoneography: event photography, candid street portraiture and landscapes. Together, the speakers will give a comprehensive overview of trends and techniques in mobile photography today.
Richard Gray: The UK's first lecturer in mobile photography (at Kensington & Chelsea College), he has spoken and presented at many photography events and is also a prolific writer and blogger (iphoggy.com), with a book on photography with the iPhone soon to be published. His iPhone photos have appeared in various iphoneography exhibitions. He is also a professional music photographer (@rugfoot on Instagram, Twitter and flickr).
