Event Details

This event will provide both practical and theoretical sessions focussing on teaching the new Computing curriculum for Key Stages 2, 3, 4 and 5.  We have an excellent variety of presenters who are very experienced teachers from East Midlands schools.  We have slightly extended each workshop following feedback from our last Hub Meeting.  We will email out the full programme of workshops once you have registered for the event, together with details of how to access our free car park and a map of the campus - please use the Binsey car park access via the South Gate.  We will ask you to elect for workshops prior to the event.

If you are booking on behalf of colleagues please can you add their individual emails, or send them to Rachael Smith.

If you have any queries please contact rachael.smith@ntu.ac.uk, helen.boulton@ntu.ac.uk or dave.chaplain@ntu.ac.uk.

We look forward to seeing you at this very exciting event.

Computing At School  (CAS) aims to promote the teaching of Computing at school. CAS was born out of our excitement with our discipline, combined with a serious concern that many students are being “turned off” computing by a combination of factors that have conspired to make the subject seem dull and pedestrian. Our goal is to put the excitement back into Computing at school.

The Computing At School  group (CAS) is a grass roots organisation, whose energy, creativity, and leadership comes from its members. CAS is a collaborative partner with the BCS through the BCS Academy of Computing, and has formal support from other industry partners. Membership is open to everyone, and is very broad, including teachers, parents, governors, exam boards, industry, professional societies, and universities. We speak for the discipline of computing at school level, inc.  FE, and not for any particular interest group.
