CAS Plymouth Hub meeting
Dr Shirley Atkinson : Lecturer, Plymouth University
11 December 2013 16.30 - 18.30
The CAS-Hub for Plymouth will be holding their Autumn 2013 meeting on December 11th at 16.30 in room 415 in the Babbage building. See here for a campus map.
CPD for teachers is on everybody's minds. There are a good number of initiatives being carried out cross the country and we have our own CAS Master teacher in the area. However, there is still a need at the local level and this meeting aims to put the spotlight on how the School of Computing and Mathematics at Plymouth University can support local teachers in networking and online CPD.
The meeting will start with a short presentation from Dr Ismini Vasileiou who has recently completed her PhD in the field of blended learning. Following her presentation there will be small group discussions to explore local CPD needs in the light of the computing curriculum changes, ascertain the current opportunities provided by the local CAS Master Teachers and to draw together those who would be interested in the development of online CPD opportunities that would be supported by academics at Plymouth University.
Parking is available on campus after 4pm. Please refer to the campus map above for details of parking areas.
