Event Details

An opportunity to discuss the peer interview stage of the chartership process, and a chance to review your chartership evidence with your respective institution.

The institutions represented at this event are:

IMechE, IChemE, IStructE, IMarEST, ICE and IET.

The event format is as follows:

3:00pm –     Arrival of delegates

3:15pm –     Welcome

                    Introduction of the evening from SUT+

3:20pm –     Presentation from the Engineering Council

3:50pm –     Break for Refreshments

4:00pm –     Main Workshop

      • Consists of 6 stands that represent each institute and a quiet conversation area
      • At the stands
        • General information will be given out regarding the chartership programme on offer
        • Group Q & A sessions regarding evidence, competencies, and so on.
      • Quiet conversation area
        • 1 to 1 session about peer interview (i.e. informal peer interview or conversation about personal information)

6:00pm –     Close out of evening by SUT+

SUT+

SUT+ has been created for developing professionals by developing professionals working in the subsea industry in Scotland.  SUT+ aims to increase newcomers' appeal and understanding of underwater technology and related markets. 

SUT+ is a subset of the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) Aberdeen Branch. SUT a multidisciplinary learned society that brings together organisations and individuals with a common interest in underwater technology, ocean science and offshore engineering. 

Target Group

  • Professionals who have recently taken up a position within the sector
  • Graduates who have recently joined the sector after finishing education
  • Students who seek projects and mentoring and intend to join the industry after education
