More favourite classics performed by two ensembles of young professionals led by Cherubim Musicians Octavia Lamb and Joseph Shiner.
On Friday Mozart’s sublime Magic Flute Quartets accompanies enjoyable modern wind music too from Gustav Holst, Jacques Ibert, Malcolm Arnold, Stephen Dodgson and Paul Patterson.
On Saturday, the delightfully pure soprano of Catrine Kirkman serves up a delicious soufflé of songs with obbligato instrumental solos, which will include operatic rareties like Ah nos peines from Cherubini’s Medée, and O Luce di quest’anima from Donizetti’s Linda di Chamounix. This is followed by Mozart's heavenly Clarinet Quintet.
On Sunday enjoy a rising young pianist, Finn Murphy, in a Concerto composed by Mozart at the age Finn is now, followed by a rare opportunity to hear Schubert’s magnificent Great Octet performed by first-class musicians in the beautiful acoustics of Tisbury Parish Church.
