Event Details

In this lively, engaging evening course, Jay Rayner will explore the way form influences content in journalism, from news story to news feature, arts feature to restaurant review. He will also argue that at the heart of any credible, compelling piece of writing lies  one skill above all others: that of the reporter.

Through presentation and audience discussion – with plenty of time for questions and an opportunity for participants to put what they've learned into practice – Jay will examine what makes great writing just that.

Jay Rayner is the Observer's food critic and is regularly on the television and radio. He is the author of seven books; his latest, A Greedy Man in a Hungry World, will be published by Harper Collins on May 23 2013.
