A full day of free arts & crafts activities and fun for the whole family!
Bradford Cathedral and Kala Sangam present a full day of FREE Christmas crafts and arts workshops and activities:
- Arts & crafts stalls (lots of amazing Christmas gifts and cards handmade by local artists & makers & available to buy)
- FREE artist-led arts & crafts workshops, including:
- Handmade Christmas card workshops with Akari Maharani
- Crib decorating workshops - join in with decorating your own character for our two nativity scenes: a traditional nativity at Kala Sangam and an Indian nativity at Bradford Cathedral
- Live music from Ukelele Club
- Ukelele jam (audience participation welcomed!)
- Roasted chestnuts
- Christmas carols
Why not make someone special a handmade card or Christmas gift, or come along to pick up individual handmade Christmas gifts from our extensive craft fair?
Then join us for a ukelele jam with Osset Ukelele Club in the in the beautiful setting of Bradford Cathedral - we welcome audience participation (of the both the uke and vocal variety!) Bring along your ukulele or simply just your cheery voices to join in the jam!
This event takes place at Kala Sangam Arts Centre & Bradford Cathedral. The day will culminate with a live performance by the wonderful Ukelele Club.
Calling all Artists, Crafters & Makers!
We have stalls available for you to sell your wares at this event. Please register your interest by selecting the relevant ticket above and we will contact you with more information (no commitment at this stage). Our last big open day event in March had approximately 600 visitors and our recent Eid Mela open day had over 250 visitors. This event will be well publicised and we hope to bring in even more people than before.
This event is a collaboration between Kala Sangam and Bradford Cathedral. The event is FREE and is open to ALL communities to attend. Donations welcome.

Kala Sangam is a leading south Asian arts organisation. We aim to increase understanding and appreciation of the cultural traditions of south Asia, whilst improving awareness of racial, cultural and social issues.
We work with local and international artists to create and deliver collaborative work across the community through a programme of creative and accessible events, including performances, classes, workshops and training courses.
