Circle of Peers Collaboration

A more formal meeting with topical discussions and presentations from guest speakers. Groups meet under Chatham House Rules to share, support, and where appropriate learn from each other. We will provide lunch and of course lots of coffee!

• The aim of these meetings are to:
• Presentations from industry leading People Professionals
• Bounce around ideas
• Discuss problems and share solutions
• Share successes and pitfalls in different approaches

Topic – People Professionals’ role in developing leaders and growing talent to ensure efficient and effective succession planning

This year the Circle of Peer events have looked at:

• The changing face of Learning and Development in the workplace and discussed where it will move with Social Media
• Explored the concept of The Compassionate Leader and discussed the evidence is that compassionate leaders have more productive and loyal people

For our November meeting of People Professionals we are going to be looking at what is HR’s role in developing good leaders within their organisation and how that leads to developing and growing talent to ensure that there are sufficient people to meet the succession plans for the organisation.

As ever Maureen Scholefield will give her insights into the role that she believes people professionals have in this critical area so that the potential of their people is maximised and that the organisation is not only agile but high performing.
