The 2016 Climate Challenge Fund Gathering #ccfcommunity will take place on 4 October 2016 at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.
We organise the annual Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) Gathering to celebrate and showcase the significant efforts of Scotland’s communities in contributing towards Scotland’s efforts to build a lower carbon future. The event also provides opportunities for CCF grant recipients to make new connections to support them in their climate change action. The event attracts up to 200 attendees of CCF grant recipients and community-led organisations from across Scotland.
CCF funded groups past and present are welcome to attend the event. Non-CCF funded groups, organisations and other interested parties with an interest in tackling climate change are also welcome to attend however, spaces are limited to two delegates per organisation.
This year the main conference will be preceeded by a free climate change exhibition open to the general public from 1-3 October. The exhibition will also form the marketplace at the Gathering. You can read more at www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org/climatechangeexhibition

The Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) is a Scottish Government programme, that we manage and develop. Since the Climate Challenge Fund was introduced in 2008, 588 communities across Scotland have been awarded grants totalling £75.7 million to run community-led projects that reduce local carbon emissions, improve their local areas and help them adapt to the impacts of climate change.

When & Where
Keep Scotland Beautiful
Keep Scotland Beautiful is the independent charity which campaigns, acts and educates on a range of local, national and global environmental issues which affect people’s quality of life. It is committed to making Scotland clean and green, today and tomorrow. Our initiatives are estimated to reach at least one in five people across Scotland.
Our themes are:
(1) Sustainable Development Education
We are the national leaders delivering environmental education across Scotland. Our Eco-Schools programme is operational in 98% of Scotland's schools with 46% attaining the internationally-recognised Green Flag Award.
(2) Local Environmental Quality
We also lead the way on protecting the quality of Scotland’s environment. We work with all of Scotland’s local authorities and inspire hundreds of thousands of volunteers to engage in our environmental initiatives. These include the Clean Up Scotland Campaign, Beautiful Scotland, It’s Your Neighbourhood, Scotland’s Beach Awards and our Green Flag Awards for public parks.
(3) Sustainability Development and Climate Change
We are the heart of sustainability and climate change in Scotland. We manage the Sustainable Scotland Network which supports Scotland’s public bodies and 32 local authorities with their actions on sustainability. We are also proud to manage the Climate Challenge Fund which supports communities groups wishing to pursue carbon reduction activities.
