Climate Crisis Question Time

Bring me a solution, not a problem: a new Lancet Commission on Emergency Actions to Protect Human Health.

“Climate change is the biggest global health threat of the 21st century…the impacts will be felt all around the world – and not just in some distant future but in our lifetimes and those of our children.”

Following the 2009 Lancet-UCL Commission on Climate Change, international experts have come together in a new commission to respond to the health emergency of climate change.  This event is an opportunity to question those experts – climate scientists, economists, energy and health professionals – on both the scale of the threat as they see it, and potential ways forward.

The panel will be chaired by Anthony Costello (Director, Institute for Global Health, University College London) and Peng Gong, (Director, Tsinghua University Centre for Earth System Science, Beijing)
