SPECTATOR BOAT INSTRUCTIONS
The end of the Clipper 13-14 Round the Word Yacht Race is nearly here and excitement continues to build! Boarding opens from 0915 from St Katharine’s Pier, Butler’s Wharf and Tower Pier. Please check your confirmation email and ticket for your specific departure pier.
TICKETS ARE ONLY VALID FOR YOUR SPECIFIC DEPARTURE PIER.
Boarding at each pier closes at 0930 sharp. Allocation to vessels will be upon arrival and groups must arrive together to ensure they are on the same spectator vessel.
ESSENTIAL: Please print out your ticket(s) and bring with you. Tickets will be scanned on arrival.
The official spectator boats will be on the water for a maximum of four hours. There will be no stop off points during the voyage. Once full each spectator boat will leave the dock and make best speed towards the Clipper Race fleet where they expect to rendezvous between the QE2 Bridge and the Thames Barrier, the spectator vessels will then follow the Clipper Race yachts back up the Thames.
Please note: the aim is to enable spectators to have disembarked and be at St Katharine’s dock to meet the first four yachts as they come into the marina, however due to differing boat speeds, pier time slots and location this may not be possible for all spectators. Most of the spectator fleet will have to leave the Clipper Race fleet in the vicinity of Canary Wharf to enable this.
All Spectator vessels will be alongside by 13:15 at the latest. Light refreshments are available on board to be purchased. No external food or drink will be permitted. Please be aware the Thames River will be very busy with general traffic as well as vessels involved in the Clipper Race.
We appreciate your understanding to ensure that everyone has an equally enjoyable experience and has the opportunity to view the fleet up close. These instructions and details are only for the Official Clipper Race Spectator Boats purchased through the Clipper Race.
If you have bookings with any third party operator please contact them directly as Clipper Ventures Plc is not responsible for any other bookings.
