The University of Manchester and the Society of Cosmetic Scientists are jointly hosting a Comsetic and Personal Care Industry Networking Event that will to bring together senior industry representatives with academics from across the University to identify opportunities for collaboration.
Join us to:
• Learn about grand future R&D challenges for the cosmetic and personal care industry
• Identify funding schemes that support collaborative research projects
• Get advice on how to engage with the University's world-leading research base
• Network with senior industry decision maker and innovators
The overall aim of the event is to demonstrate the opportunities and mutual benefits that can be achieved through collaboration between industry and academia. We are pleased to announce that the event will be opened by Professor Chris Griffiths, world-leading dermatologist and Centre Lead for Dermatology at The University of Manchester. Dr Neil Parry, Director of Disruptive Sustainability & Biotechnology Researchm Unilever, will present an overview grand industry challenges, followed by a networking lunch and poster exhibition showcasing examples of how industry commercialises technology from academia and the academic research expertise on offer to resolve key industry R&D challenges. We will also be joined by Innovate UK (Technology Strategy Board) who will highlight their strategy for support collaboration and available funding schemes.The afternoon session will guide you through the different ways to engage with the University and associated support services.
