Communicating with Confidence
Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM (GMT)
London, United Kingdom
Are you looking for advancement or more recognition at work? Are you returning to work after time out (perhaps to bring up children) and maybe dreading the thought of giving a presentation?
Do you need to make your voice heard in meetings - of whatever kind? Or do you simply want to make communication in your daily life as effective as you can?
This is a one day course designed to boost confidence and help you feel better placed to influence events. You’ll be looking at ways to extend your range of communication tools so you can meet all sorts of different situations appropriately, inventively and productively. A day full of helpful tips and techniques and some fun, practical exercises.
This practical, interactive course will include helpful tips and techniques to help you:
· feel grounded
· get on top of the butterflies
· grab and keep your audience’ s attention
· focus on the effect you wish to have
· hold the floor
· find the heart of what you want to say
· persuade people to look at things in a new light
· sharpen your editing skills
· focus on your objective
· help others feel safe in your hands
· make your communication productive
There will be a workshop feel to the day and plenty of time to bring up specific issues, which may well resonate with others in the room.
By the end of the day you’ll be better placed to conquer nerves in order to communicate effectively (without being either aggressive or a push-over), to enjoy the challenge of winning people over and to achieve the practical outcomes you’re after.
