Dear Information Champion
As Information Champions working in the community, every day you meet local people who are carers. Help and support is available but do you know where to access it? Would you like to be more carer aware?
We have teamed up with Dudley Carers Network to offer all Information Champions free training to help you to identify people who are carers, understand their rights and know where to signpost them for information and support.
What can I expect at my training? You will join other Information Champions for an informal and interactive session covering:
- Recognising hidden carers
- Understanding carers rights
- How to get a carers assessment
- Where to access benefits information
- An introduction to Dudley Carers Alliance
- Support for carers and where to find it
How do I book? Simply register for one session from the drop-down box on this booking page.
If several people from the same organisation wish attend, please register yourselves onto different sessions to enable you to meet a wide range of people from our network.
If you need help with your registration please call Melissa or Deb on 01384 267427.
Where will my training take place?
Thursday 21 April 2016 (09:30 to 12:30)
Friday 10 June 2016 (1:30 to 16:30)
Thursday 11 August 2016 (13:30 to 16:30)
Monday 03 October 2016 (09:30 to 12:30)
All of the above sessions take place at:
Brierley Hill Health and Social Care Centre, Venture Way, Brierley Hill, DY5 1RU. Long and short stay pay and display parking is available opposite the building. Please go to the Blue Badge / Social Care reception on the ground floor to register.
Do I need to bring anything? If you can, please bring along a small bundle of leaflets for your organisation or group to share on the day.
I’ve still got questions... Speak to Nicola on 01384 818723 or Melissa on 01384 267427 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
