Event Details

One of the most complex and time consuming problems about using iPads and tablets in the classroom is providing evidence of the work that children do. Often the work is impressive but cannot be transfered to a PC that is used by the teacher. This course will train you on a range of FREE solutions that are being used successfully in schools in the UK. The course will be delivered by Richard Smith (AmazingICT) and Adam Foster (iLearn2) who work with these solutions on a weekly basis.

  1. How do children save work on the iPads so that it can be shared with staff?
  2. How can staff manage the work shared from the student iPads?
  3. How can staff use the work as evidence of the child's progress?
  4. How to provide teacher feedback using different forms of communication
  5. How to show evidence of progression
  6. How to encourage progression between students

This practical, informative workshop with iPad experts Richard Smith and Adam Foster will cover a range of educational apps, including Seesaw, Showbie, Google Drive, Office 365, Dropbox. You will be shown techniques that make the process much simpler and more time effective.

You will be provided with online resources that can be used back in school to help explain the process to other staff. You will be shown a range of solutions that really work well for the school.

SeeSaw can also be used for specific projects that can be then be published as a Blog. See the example from Richard's work during an Innovation day in Staffordshire.

Who is it suitable for? All teachers who frequently use iPads in the classroom. Members of staff from schools in which iPad use is increasing rapidly. Especially beneficial for Computing specialists who lead Computing across their school and want to streamline workflow across a range of devices.
