Interactive books that contain sounds, videos and animations really engage and inspire students. Learn how to make your own books during this practical 1/2 day course delivered by Richard Smith (AmazingICT) and Adam Foster (iLearn2).
This is an exciting way to encourage children to use technology effectively whilst developing their literacy skills.
- You will be guided through core apps and skills that can transform lessons with ebook creation.
- You will be provided with a wonderful range of ideas that have all been tried and tested in a range of schools. (see photograph below)
- You will be helped to develop your understanding of a range of iPad apps, including Puppet Pals, Book Creator and Green Screen DoInk.
- You will be shown how to publish your creative books so that they can be viewed both in school and outside school (via a website, blog or social media).
Who is it suitable for? Teachers keen to learn about innovative ways to teach Computing. Literacy coordinators aiming to develop new approaches to learning. (KS1 and KS2 with some content suitable for use in EYFS)

Richard Smith is an Educational ICT Consultant who works in 7 schools a week supporting Computing. He trains students from Edge Hill Univesity and delivers all the Computing training to teachers in Shropshire LA. He has contributed his views on the key role of digital technology in Education to the Westminster Education Forum.
