"Cycling, walking or driving – what are the risks and benefits?"

Dr Jenny Mindell (UCL Epidemiology & Public Health)

Cyclists killed on the roads make the headlines but is cycling really that dangerous?  How does it compare with other risks we take, such as turning off a motorway onto a local road? What are the risks of driving? And what about the risks we impose on others when we travel? This presentation will address these questions, using data from England.

Please note that the presentation will take place in UCL's Cruciform building which is opposite UCL's main entrance and Quadrangle, on the West side of Gower Street.

This presentation is part of the Environmental Sustainability Topic Lunch Series run by Green UCL.
