DH FITNESS VOWS TO HELP CREATE A "HEALTHIER DURHAM".......
dh fitness have decided to Team up with the NHS and offer the community of Durham an opportunity to receive the ultimate Health MOT and what to do to improve your results!
Dh fitness studio will be holding an open day to at their studio and Gym as part of their "Healthier Durham" campaign! The open day will involve a FREE Heath MOT from the NHS which includes blood pressure tests, BMI, cholesterol and many more.
After your health MOT results have been collated you can enjoy a series of mini exercise classes from dh fitness that suit all abilities to show how the correct exercise can make a huge difference to your health and how to improve your MOT scores.
There will also be a free "Healthier Durham" information booklet and program given to you for attending that's full of great information on Nutrition, lifestyle and exercise protocols to help kick start any weight loss and improve your health.
Teas, coffees and healthy shakes will also be available at the dh fitness Shake Bar and recovery area. You can relax here and chat to a health professional and many other participants like yourself after your screening or after your workout if you decide to join in any sessions available.
The mini taster sessions available at dh fitness are:
9.00am-9.30am: Abs Masterclass-
Find out how to really activate and work your core to not only improve core strength, tone your abs but to improve your posture and back. Core strength helps improve your everyday movement and ability during exercise. This is suitable for all beginners!
Warning there are NO sit ups or crunches at dh fitness!! Find out why on 6th April.
10.00-10.30: Boxing Conditioning-
Have a great cardio workout and build up a sweat during our fun group boxing conditioning sessions. You will burn a ton of calories as well as learn some basic boxing skills.
Suitable for all abilities and Beginners.
11.00-11.30: Metabolic Madness-
This is the ultimate metabolic workout meaning the fastest and quickest way to burn thousands of calories for upto 24hours after only 30mins of exercise. We will teach how to train your metabolic rate to make your body a fat burning furnace in less time and effort than anything you've ever done before. Suitable for all abilities.
11.30-12.00pm: Tune up-
Tune is a favourite among members and is a more lower tempo type of session. This includes slow exercises to improve functional movement, stretching, core work and breathing to techniques to relax your mind and body. A great session loved by all. Suitable for all abilities.
9.00-9.45am: The VIP Customised Experience:
This is an amazing session not to be missed if you are interested I knowing more about how exercise can be customised and tailored to your every need. You will be taken through the dh fitness VIP customised exercise system of a personal training session. Telling you how and why each stage of the workout is important for you and your functionality as well as your weight loss results!
10.30-11.30am: Mini Functional Movement Assessments:
During this hour one of the expert coaching Team at dh fitness will be available to walk you through the very simple yet effective FMS assessment which is the tool used at dh fitness to test your bodies entire functionality of movement, areas of strengths and weakness, under activated muscles or problematic move my from previous injury etc. This tool allows us to prescribe exactly what exercises at what tempo etc you would need to suit your level and FMS score. You will also leave with a prescribed exercise booklet to match your score to go away and practise and improve on.
