In sharp contrast to recent scandals in conventional farming, we’re so proud of ours, we want to take you out to meet them. So come and meet our fabulous farmers, who get up early each morning, take in deep breaths of good clean Somerset air, get their wellies on and get out there and FARM!

Your ticket will include a BBQ lunch (kindly sponsored by Triodos Bank) and transport for the tour. We will have a coach pick-up and drop off at both of our stores:

Severn Project, Temple Meads
The Severn Project was formed in 2010 by visionary Steve Glover as a way of helping, in very practical terms, people coming out of drug and alcohol treatment programmes. It’s a win-win operation, offering social reintegration though training and employment to its workers, and excellent produce to a growing band of retail and restaurant customers, currently 450kg worth a week – that’s a lot of leaf!
Yeo Valley, Blagdon
Yeo Valley’s Garth Clark takes us on a trip to the hippest farm in the country (remember that rap?) We know and love their yogurts, butter, cream and milk, so come and meet the cows that make it. They are super-healthy, grazing close to Blagdon Lake in beautiful surroundings.
The Story Group, Wrington Vale Farm

Meet Bill and Emma Yeats, poultry and pig farmers at The Story Group of organic farms. We’ll be shown around the pigs and poultry, and meet the Christmas turkey fledglings. We’re very proud of their exemplary farming methods, and of their high animal welfare standards.
The Community Farm, Chew Magna
Including cooking demo with Josh Eggleton
We’re delighted to have been invited to join the Community Farm on their open day. The highlight of the day is a cooking demo by Michelin star chef Josh Eggleton from The Pony in Trap, Chew Magna, using fresh farm produce. See the wonderful farm and its increased facilities including the educational yurt and gardens. The farm is producing over £4,000 of produce a week, supplying over 30 restaurant and retail customers and around 500 box customers, with additional produce from local growers and national distributers.
