Drivers of Distinctiveness: Heritage and Culture
Thursday, 23 February 2017 from 08:30 to 13:00 (GMT)
Kent has rich historic and cultural environments that are important assets to attract inward investment and build visitor economies. However, modern day challenges of traffic, under maintenance, and bland modern architecture have undermine the potential and value of these places. This conference looks at the role of heritage and culture as drivers for reimaging and rebranding these places.
By the end of the Conference you will have:
- Been introduced to innovative ways of attracting inward investment and tourism from heritage and cultural assets
- Learned from local examples the value of contextual design and new cultural uses to enhancing the identity of a place
- Learned how to re-brand a place through heritage and culture
This conference is free for Kent Design members within their membership package allocation. Kent Design members can book places by emailing email@example.com.
