Tom Morrell has specialised in people engagement for over thirty years during his career with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). Working closely with diverse communities his role was to promote great working relationships with the police. As an MPS senior manager, a Chartered Fellow with the CIPD, and Lead Assessor with the British Quality Foundation assessing the likes of GSK, TNT, Lombard Direct and other corporate and public sector organisations, Tom has practical experience of what ingredients go into making a great workplace for the employee.
Since leaving the police in 2010 Tom became an advanced practitioner in Fundamental Interpersonal Relationship Theory FIRO™, exploring employee engagement at the individual level. He is a member of the Neuroleadership Institute and applies his learning in Behavioural Science with clients that he has worked with on employee engagement, that include Skechers and Samsung.
Tom is chair of the Engage for Success Government Taskforce London Region ‘Thought and Action’ Group. He has built this expanding group up from 4 to 20 organisations since September 2015, which includes M&S, Royal Mail, McDonalds, The Telegraph, the UK Cabinet Office, and other well known organisations.
Tom has worked internationally in Moscow, as a part-time lecturer with Kingston University teaching employee engagement to post-graduate human resource managers of multi-national companies. He is currently working in Ukraine with the government, police and communities on developing closer people engagement structures.
Tom is a public speaker, a keen amateur dramatics actor, and singer. He looks forward to a providing a great interactive session with you on employee engagement.
