Effective events fundraising

A Guardian Voluntary Sector Network seminar.

Fundraising events are hugely important not just for generating income for your charity, but also for attracting new supporters and raising awareness of your organisation’s brand and its work. They can also help to meet a number of other objectives, such as spreading important health messages or raising other important issues, or even to helping to campaign for change.

They can often be the first point of contact someone has with your charity, and the beginning of a deeper relationship - provided they are approached, planned and implemented effectively and

To help get to grips with the strategic role of events fundraising in your charity and understand how events fundraising can generate the best results, the Guardian has developed a half-day seminar that will explain how to plan, market and deliver successful fundraising events which are aligned to your brand and wider fundraising, marketing and communications strategies.

You will hear from experts and have the opportunity to network with fellow fundraisers from the voluntary sector at the Guardian’s headquarters in London.

You will learn:

  • Wide-ranging approaches to fundraising events in the voluntary sector
  • How events can fit into your donor acquisition and development strategy
  • Case study: the Pink Ribbon Walk at Breast Cancer Care
  • Best practice to maximise participation and income from events fundraising

Who should attend:

  • events fundraisers
  • community fundraisers
  • fundraising officers & managers
