Calling all artists, community groups and charities working in north Kent.
Are you interested in using empty shops and meanwhile spaces in your town centre? Do you want to find out how to make it happen? Can you share your experiences of using empty shops and meanwhile spaces?
Please join us on 28th February in Medway to share information about using empty shops, connect with like-minds and meet potential collaborators.
- Information Sharing: 3.30 - 6pm facilitated by Dan Thompson from the Empty Shops Network (http://www.artistsandmakers.com/staticpages/index.php/emptyshops), for anyone interested in using empty shops & meanwhile spaces.
- Open Space Tuttle: 6.30 - 8pm facilitated by Carl Jeffrey (http://www.fellowcreative.com/tuttle101), and Mary Paterson from Encounter, for anyone interested in sharing ideas, meeting potential collaborators and advocates for using empty shops and meanwhile spaces.
How to book
The event is open to artists interested in applying for an Encounter commission, as well as all other artists and community groups interested in using empty shops in north Kent.
Places are limited, and you must register for your place at one or more of the sessions. Registration is free, and separate for each session - remember to reserve your space at each of the sessions you would
like to attend.
This event is run by NKLAAP (North Kent Local Authority Arts Partnership) as part of Encounter, a new programme of art in public spaces happening in North Kent in 2011 (www.nklaap.com/encounter.html).
