Energy Efficiency in Social Housing: Are you ready for the changes?
Energy Efficiency in Social Housing: Are you ready for the changes?
Date and time
Location
Adey Innovation Limited
Gloucester Road Cheltenham GL51 8NR United KingdomAbout this event
This exclusive event explores the future changes in energy efficiency requirements within social housing and gives advice from key industry experts on how to cut emissions, increase efficiency, and help lower the amount social housing tenants spend on energy across the country. Introducing you to innovative low carbon technologies that help secure our future.
13% of UK Emissions come from our homes. The ‘Clean Growth Strategy’ sets out the UK strategy to reduce carbon emissions to zero by 2050. £3.6 billion of investment is being offered to upgrade around a million homes through the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), and extend support for home energy efficiency improvements until 2028 at the current level of ECO funding. All fuel poor homes are to be upgraded to Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Band C by 2030 and the aspiration is for as many homes as possible to be EPC Band C by 2035 where practical, cost-effective and affordable.
Social housing can meet similar standards over this period.
The ‘Energy Efficiency in Social Housing: Are you ready for change?’ one day conference explores how strengthening energy performance standards for new and existing social homes under Building Regulations, including futureproofing new homes for low carbon heating systems, can achieve lower carbon emissions through innovative low carbon heat technologies within homes.
