Essential Management Skills - Open Programme
The 'Essential Management Skills' open programme is endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). If participants choose to take the ILM endorsed option they will receive a year's student membership with ILM, which includes relevant articles and videos on key management and leadership skills.
Who is it for?
The two day 'Essential Management Skills' workshop provides a solid foundation for those in their first management/supervisor/team leader role, or about to move into one. Others who have little experience in management and/or have had no recent opportunity to review and develop their management skills will also find the workshop of great benefit.
What will it cover?
During this workshop, participants will develop an understanding of the core skills which will enable them to manage and work with team members.
Participants will focus on self-management skills to enable them to become more effective in their own use of time in order to have more time to lead others.
Participants will also focus on understanding how to adopt different leadership approaches in different situations, and consider the tools required to achieve the best performance from other team members.
There will be opportunity to practice various core skills during the workshop.
