Tuesday, 11 December 2012 from 18:30 to 20:30 (GMT)
Glasgow, United Kingdom
Get the basics of reading human thought from details in another persons body language With Scotland's leading expert in conversational hypnosis Thom Shillaw
COLD READING? SO WHAT... Since time immortal, sceptics have aimed to discredit the mind reading feats of mediums, psychics and the like as nothing more than cold reading. That is, the ability to ascertain, from minute cues in body language and speech sometimes intimate details of another persons memories. While this term, Cold Reading, is in vogue, non of the sceptics seem to be able to reproduce with any level of accuracy the ability of some of those that they accuse, to produce accurate details about another person's thought. So, this begs an answer to the question, what exactly is Cold Reading and how can it be learned, because at some level all will acknowledge that it is, in fact, a tremendous skill.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM ATTENDING THIS SEMINAR?Consider the therapist that is able to accurately assist their client in disclosing repressed memories that lead to the rapid healing of significant trauma that might have taken months in therapy because the key cues were missed. Or the business man who can read the pivotal cues in an negotiation that leads to a significant increase in revenue that would have been missed if they had lacked to ability to really notice what's going on. Or the parent that is able to detect minor cues in body language that lead to the successful intervention of a potential suicide and saving of their siblings life. Far from being something to be scored upon, Cold Reading, when properly done is the difference that make the difference between success and failure, the gap between excellence and mediocrity in human communication, the distinction between tailoring your communication to meet the needs of the individual instead of running the latest New Code Game or NLP Swish Pattern on a person for the NLP Practitioner or Coach.1
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING ON THE EVENING?
During this seminar, Thom presents a series of introductory exercises and explanations of what he had labelled NLP Cold Reading. According to Thom, NLP Cold Reading is the ability to detect human thought through body language, something that no scientist from the paradigm shifting Charles Darwin to the brilliance of eminent scientist, Paul Ekamn 200 years later have provided any easy way of learning to do. Far from presenting simple NLP Eye Accessing Cues, Thom presents a whole body approach to reading human thought from his emerging Body Map Model. Prepare to experience what many people believe to be impossible and impress your friends with feats of mind readings over the Christmas period.
