Agreement Trialling EYFS Profile
Lewisham Early Years Improvement Team
Target Audience: Teachers, Managers and practitioners working with Reception aged children ie: children who will be five years old before 31st August 2017.
All practitioners responsible for completing the EYFS profile should aim to attend one of these sessions regardless of whether they have attended the introduction to EYFS Profile training or any previous agreement trialling sessions. Yr 1 teachers are also welcome on these sessions.
Free for the first two delegates and £40 for any additional SLA delegates / Non SLA - £80
The EYFSP assessment is still statutory until 2017. It is usually completed by reception teachers. However, if a setting has children who are ‘reception’ age, and would otherwise be in school, this EYFS Profile must be completed by the setting.
This session will provide delegates with an opportunity to hear important updates regarding EYFSP, participate in agreement trialling and to practise making judgements using information and evidence they have collected for a child they work with. Therefore practitioners will need to bring with them evidence for one child including samples of the child’s writing or mark making that they are happy to share and discuss with colleagues to support the agreement trialling process. Moderators will be on hand to support discussions and this session will provide an opportunity to ensure that accurate judgements are being made.
The ARA for EYFSP states that Headteachers and Managers must ensure that all teachers/practitioners responsible for the completion of EYFS Profile should take part in local authority training/moderation activities at least once a year.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ANY SETTINGS WHO MAY HAVE ‘RECEPTION’ AGED CHILDREN IN THEIR SETTING ATTEND THESE SESSIONS.
