15 AUG: Weird Grapes and Crazy Labels
Wines from all over. As long as it's made from a weird grape or got a crazy label stuck on, preferably both, it's allowed here.
27 JUN: 6 Blind Wines
6 wines, what are they?
11 JUL: Fizzy
3 white, 3 rose, none from Champagne.
18 JUL: Nice New Pinots
Pinot noirs from New Zealand, Australia, Chile and the USA. Simple.
25 JUL: Italy: Top, Middle or Bottom?
A white and a red from the top, the middle and the bottom from the country producing arguably the most diverse and food friendly wines in the world.
01 AUG: Not Rioja
Selection of reds from Spain’s many regions, but not Rioja. One of the most exciting wine producing countries at the moment.
08 AUG: Rose, yes really.
Have you ever been to an all rose tasting? Neither have I. So I’m doing one.
22 AUG: You don't like Chardonnay?
We'll see about that. A grape that wears many hats. Burgundy and beyond.
29 AUG: Speed Dial Wines
Reliable and delicious wines to always have hand.
// COME TO THEM ALL. That way you'll learn a lot. //
OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF:
- To book for dinner (you should, it's good, it gets busy, you'll be hungry) email firstname.lastname@example.org with at least 24 hours notice to check availability, and specify if you'd prefer inside or outside.
- All the wines are available from Bottle Apostle in Victoria Park (or Crouch End). They are offering a 10% discount on a box of all the wines each evening (6 per evening) if you take your tasting sheet along with you.
- I *might* have some extra bottles on the day to sell too, to take home, at a reduced mark up too. SO BRING SOME CASH!
