Event Details

Shale gas, coal bed methane, underground coal gasification. It’s all happening in communities across the country and residents are getting more and more worried about what it means for them.

This training and networking day will bring together Friends of the Earth campaigners and community activists with real experience of living on the frontline of unconventional gas with concerned residents of areas who will be next.

What is unconventional gas all about?

What are the threats to my local environment?

What does it mean for the UK’s response to climate change?

What can I do in my local community to stop it happening here?

For more details, contact Simon Bowens, Friends of the Earth's Yorkshire and Humber Campaigner, at simon.bowens@foe.co.uk
