Men and women, all ages and complete beginners welcome!
This is a free workshop but booking is essential and places are limited (maximum 20 per class).
Come prepared to experience the magic of flute with Vijay Venkat a reputed multi-instrumentalist!
Bring your own flute if you have one. If not, there will be some spare flutes available for you to practice on.
About the Flute
The bamboo flute is an important instrument in Indian music and developed independently of the Western flute. The Indian flutes made of bamboo are very simple, compared to the Western counterparts.
- Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the class, so you are ready to go.
- All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Kala Sangam Arts Centre is 5 minutes walk from Bradford Interchange & Forster Square Rail Station, just in front of Bradford Cathedral.
