Men and women, all ages and complete beginners welcome!
This is a free workshop but booking is essential and places are limited (maximum 20 per class).
Come prepared to experience the vibes of violin with Vijay Venkat a reputed multi-instrumentalist!
Please bring your own violin if you have one. If not, you will have the opportunity to try playing on one of a limited number of spare violins.
About the Violin
The Violin is used in South and North Indian classical music as solos and orchestral accompaniments. The playing styles are different from the traditional European classical genre related to the position and musical notations
- Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the class, so you are ready to go.
- All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Kala Sangam Arts Centre is 5 minutes walk from Bradford Interchange & Forster Square Rail Station, just in front of Bradford Cathedral.
