Join us for a free one-off Odissi dance taster class with trained Odissi dancer Tuhina Bhattacharyya.

at Kala Sangam Arts Centre
Men and women, all ages and complete beginners welcome!
This is a free workshop but booking is essential and places are limited (maximum 30 per class).
Come dressed in loose, comfortable clothes, and ready to dance barefoot.
Odissi is a popular Indian classical style of dance filled with scuplturesque poses and graceful moves. It is one of the five major styles (one for each of the five elements) and represents "water". The others are: Bharatanatyam dance (fire element), Mohiniattam dance (air element), Kuchipudi dance (earth element) and Kathakali dance (sky element).
- Please arrive a few minutes before the start of the class, so you are ready to go.
- All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Kala Sangam Arts Centre is 5 minutes walk from Bradford Interchange & Forster Square Rail Station, just in front of Bradford Cathedral.
